Amelie Bouchard joins Mounties Women’s Basketball program

The Mount Allison Mounties Women's Basketball program is pleased to announce the commitment of Amelie Bouchard. Bouchard, a native of Timmins, Ontario, spent her last two seasons as a member of the Acadia Axewomen basketball team. Prior to that, she was a standout performer at Father John Redmond Catholic Secondary School in Toronto.

"I was drawn towards Mount Allison because of the small town and university atmosphere," said Bouchard. "My goal coming in next season is to bring a lot of energy to the team, and contribute in any way that I can on and off the court to help the team succeed. I'm looking forward to becoming a Mountie, meeting the girls and getting the season started!"

"Amelie is going to provide a major injection of talent to our back court", said Head Coach, Tom Skabar. "She is a dynamic guard with great size for the position, and brings an energy and skill level that will immediately make us better. We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to add such a high-level player to our program."
