Sydney Reid Joins Mounties women's soccer program
The Mount Allison Mounties Women's Soccer program is pleased to announce the commitment of a player from the New Brunswick Provincial Team (Team NB): Sydney Reid will be joining the Mounties for the 2020 season. "Sydney is among the best players to come out of New Brunswick and she comes with a host of skill and versatility that will make her a great addition to our team", commented Head Coach Gene Ouellette. "Sydney brings great pace and vision to our back line".

Sydney has also played with the Provincial Team NB program for the past 5 years, having played at the Provincial level in Newfoundland before moving to New Brunswick. She is a multi-sport athlete, having won MVP Honours in the past for soccer, hockey, and rugby. As a key defensive player on the soccer pitch, Sydney is extremely difficult to beat, and has great pace and vision; She always seems to be a step ahead of her opponents by thinking 2-3 plays ahead. Sydney is also a natural leader on the field and is a great fit for our Mountie program.
